Siksika Women’s Day

Theme: Inspire Inclusion In 2017, Siksika Nation Chief and Council in collaboration with Old Sun Community College made a proclamation that March 8th be considered Siksika Women’s Day.  This year, our focus is on fostering a sense of belonging and uplifting all voices within the Siksika community. The theme “Inspire Inclusion” encourages us to recognize the unique contributions of every Siksika woman, creating a space where everyone feels seen and valued. In celebration of the occasion a video compilation was put together highlighting the women from our community who live, work and call Siksika Nation home. Watch video here:

SIKSIKA NATION STATE OF LOCAL EMERGENCY UPDATE for January 14, 2024 The State of Local Emergency (S.O.L.E.) in Siksika will remain in effect today as temperatures remain around -30 today and into the night as a precautionary measure.
