Mark Your Calendars: The Siksika Nation Fair 2021 Baseball/Golf – September 10, 11, 12 Rodeo – September 17, 18, 19 Powwow/Handgame – September 24, 25, 26 The Siksika Nation Fair 2021 will look a look a little different this year. Due to COVID-19, the committee has staggered the dates of the annual fair. As restrictions ease up, the committee remains committed to protecting the community and visitors and will continue to monitor all COVID-19 updates and recommendations set out by Siksika Health Services. Oki, due to the reduction in risk-level status from Red to Yellow, following the COVID- 19 restrictions implemented by Siksika Health Services. Effective June 1, 2021 the Service Areas can welcome all employees back into the office. This decision will be re-evaluated in line with recommendations and guidance from Siksika Nation Health and the CDC. The Administration will be open for services by appointment only. Siksika Nation COVID-19 Update for May 6th, 2021 provided by Chief Ouray Crowfoot “At this time Siksika Nation Chief and Council have supported the recommendation from Siksika Health Services to move temporarily to a Red High Risk level effective May 6th from its previous Yellow status.” Chief Ouray Crowfoot Siksikawa should refrain from both indoor and outdoor gatherings with people from outside their household, including both informal social gatherings, and formal gatherings. If gatherings are essential, they should take place outdoors, and be restricted to 10 people or fewer. Siksika Nation Chief and Council continue to promote safety in our community. The Public Safety Taskforce has launched a safety campaign in our community to fight the war on drugs.
