Siksika Nation Chief and Council celebrates International Women’s Day

Siksika Nation Chief and Council celebrates International Women’s Day today with all women of Siksika and around the world.

This year’s theme “Break The Bias” celebrates a gender equal world, “Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can all #BreakTheBias.”

Siksika Nation Chief and Council has organized a giveaway for the women of Siksika and has made two generous donations to local agencies; the Ittasinno’P Food Bank Centre In Siksika and the Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society in Calgary.

Leadership would like to acknowledge and thank the following companies who donated to Chief and Council Women’s Day initiatives; Transalta, Bank of Montreal, NGLP, Siksika Group of Companies, JFK Law, Fox Fraser Law and Graham Construction. Your generous contribution will go on to support the women of Siksika and their families.

If you would like to donate to the Ittasinno’P Food Bank Centre and Awo Taan Healing Lodge Society, please contact them directly.
