From Nov. 13 to Nov. 18, Siksika Nation hunters had the honour of participating in a ceremonial harvest, heading to Banff to hunt a bison.
Since 2017, Bison have been steadily reintroduced to a Banff valley between Wapiti and Gable Mountains. Parks Canada extended invitations to various nations to participate in a ceremonial harvest due to population increase (16 to over 130).
