Oki Siksika,
Siksika Nation is hosting three information open houses throughout October to provide an opportunity for Siksika’i’koan to learn more about four recently approved departmental policies. These include the Public Works Policy, Land Use Policy Amendment, Rental Housing Policy Amendment, and Affordable Home Purchase Policy.
Approved by Ohkinniinaa ki Ninaaiks on June 18, 2026, these policies will help guide decision-making, service delivery, and community development across the Nation.
The open houses are part of Siksika Nation’s commitment to ensuring that Siksika’i’koan, administration, and leadership have a clear understanding of the policies and how they will support housing programs, land management, and public works services moving forward.

- Tuesday, October 6

- Siksika Off-Reserve Open House #2 (Calgary)
- Tuesday, October 20
- Time: 2:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Location: 60 SunPark Plaza
- Siksika On-Reserve Open House #3 (East)
- Tuesday, October 27
- Time: 2:00 – 7:00 p.m.
- Location: Blackfoot Crossing Historical Centre
Staff from each department will be available throughout the events to answer questions and provide information. Food and refreshments will be available at each open house. All events are drop-in and no RSVP is required. All attendees will be entered to win exciting prizes!
We encourage all Siksika’i’koan to attend the location most convenient for them. We look forward to seeing you there and continuing the conversation about these important policies and the future of our Nation.

Siksika’i’koan can access the approved policies through:

- Printed copies of the policies are available for review at the Public Works, Housing, and Land Management offices during regular business hours and at all Open Houses. Copies may be reviewed on-site, but cannot be taken home.
