On July 11, 2022, members of Chief and Council, both past and present, attended a signing ceremony at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino The ceremony signified the relationship between the nation and the facility, and to announce that the Deerfoot Inn and Casino will be donating $10,000 to the nation’s post-secondary institution, Old Sun Community College and its students.

Due to COVID-19, the committee has staggered the dates of the annual fair.
