Oki Siksika,
We want to extend our gratitude to everyone who has reached out regarding the community clean‑up schedule. Over the past few weeks, we’ve received a high number of requests for Chicago to be included — and we hear you.
Originally, Chicago was not added to the clean‑up rotation because it is classified as a rural area, and our initial planning focused on the higher‑density community subdivisions. However, after reviewing community feedback and recognizing the importance of ensuring all areas feel supported, we’ve made an exception and updated the schedule as follows:
- Lower Chicago has been added to the Suzy Slough slot on June 11, 2026
- Upper Chicago has been added to the North Camp slot on June 19, 2026
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience as we work to accommodate everyone.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes out to all community members who continue to participate, and a special thank you to the Siksika Nation Tribal Administrative Departments who volunteered their time, energy, and resources to make these clean‑ups possible. Your commitment strengthens our community and helps run this operation quickly.
Let’s keep working together to keep our Nation clean, safe, and beautiful.
If you any questions or concerns reach out to Siksika Public Works Mon-Fri 8:00 am to 4:30 PM
Kiitakitamaatsin.
