Community Water and Wastewater Systems

The Community Water and Wastewater team are certified Water and Wastewater Operators that provide Siksika Nation with clean, potable drinking water and wastewater collection services.

The Community water and wastewater system serves up to 600+ homes on the Nation. Homes connected to the Community System are mostly found in the Community Sub-Divisions like the Cluny, Stobart, West Gleichen, and Suzy Slough areas.

The Community water system serves potable water to community members on the Nation through Class 2 Water Treatment Plants, and 2 Pump Houses. The system also contains numerous Fire Hydrants, Valves, and Curb stops spread along the underground community water piping system.

Community water and wastewater team members visit these sites daily to perform standard quality control tests, record water usage numbers, and adjust chemical pumps and operation processes widely used in the water treatment industry for the past 100 years.
