Public Notice: Optic Fiber Internet Project at Siksika
To all Siksika Nation members:
As part of the ongoing Fiber Optic Internet Project at Siksika, the Public Works Department is collaborating with Siksika Nation Engineering Services and the contractor, Cross Cut Directional Boring Ltd., to carry out this important work.
In order to facilitate the construction phase of this project, Cross Cut Directional Boring Ltd. will need access to certain areas surrounding the FDC building within the fenced perimeter. These areas will be used to store construction materials. Currently, several of these areas are being used to store private property.
We kindly request that all private property be removed from these areas as soon as possible, no later than January 20, 2025. After this date, any remaining items will be moved to a designated corner of the site for safekeeping in preparation for final disposal. Siksika Nation Tribal Administration (SNTA) and the Public Works Department will not be held responsible for any property left in these areas.
We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation in removing your property promptly. This project is a key part of improving internet connectivity and services for the Siksika community, and we thank you for your understanding as we work to bring these improvements to life.
