Public Notice: Internet Infrastructure Upgrade Project Update

Oki Siksika Nation Members and Residents,
As part of our ongoing development efforts, Siksika Nation Engineering Services will be conducting a Nation-wide site survey starting today and continuing through next week.
The purpose of this survey is to support the design phase of the Internet Infrastructure Upgrade Project, which includes future fibre optic and wireless installations.
Survey activities will involve:
- Field verification of existing underground and overhead infrastructure
- Topographic measurements
- Utility location
- GPS data collection
This will be done using photogrammetry technology mounted on a vehicle that will travel through designated project areas, capturing photos and measurements.
Please note:
- No construction or excavation will take place during this phase
- All data collected will remain strictly within the Siksika
- Tribal Administration project team
