July 27, 2025 – Investigation being conducted after two Siksika Nation members found deceased
On July 26th, 2025, it was reported that two Siksika Nation members were found deceased in Siksika and that the Gleichen RCMP are currently investigating an incident that occurred recently. Currently, they are working diligently to gather all the facts and ensure that the investigation is conducted thoroughly and accurately.
We are aware of an incident that recently took place and want to assure the public that it is currently under active and thorough investigation. Presently, our team is working closely with the appropriate authorities to gather all relevant facts and ensure that all aspects of the situation are properly reviewed.
We understand that there is a great deal of concern and interest surrounding this matter. However, due to the sensitive nature of the incident, and to preserve the integrity of the investigation, we are unable to release specific details at this moment.
We respectfully ask for the public’s patience and understanding as this process unfolds. Speculation and the spread of unverified information can cause unnecessary distress, especially to those directly impacted. We urge everyone to allow space and privacy for the individuals and families involved as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
