Attention All Livestock Owners:
This notice is issued to provide further clarification regarding the ongoing livestock quarantine in Pastures 7A and 7B, Siksika Nation.
Livestock currently located within these pastures are undergoing treatment due to the presence of internal parasites. These parasites are known to spread through fecal-oral transmission, meaning contamination can occur when livestock ingest feed, water, or forage that has been exposed to infected fecal matter.
As a precautionary measure and to prevent the spread of parasites to other grazing areas, Pastures 7A and 7B remain temporarily closed until further notice.
IMPORTANT CLARIFICATIONS
- If you do not own livestock located in Pastures 7A and 7B, your livestock are not affected and are considered safe.
- Livestock within the quarantined pastures are being actively monitored and treated by appropriate personnel.
- No movement of livestock is permitted into or out of Pastures 7A and 7B for the duration of the quarantine.

ENFORCEMENT NOTICE
Any individual who attempts to enter Pastures 7A or 7B, or who removes or interferes with livestock within the quarantined area, may be charged with trespassing. Trespassing offences may carry penalties including fines of up to $1,000.
