Siksika Nation Engineering Services (SNES) has launched the Mentorship Engineering program under the Sponsorship of Siksika Tribal Administration (SNTA), marking a significant step in its commitment to developing engineering talent within the community.
The program debuted by hiring its first engineering graduate, Blaine Solway, who has taken on the role of Geomatics Technician. Moving forward, the program aims to recruit additional Engineering students and provide summer internship opportunities specifically designed for engineering students.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the internal capacity of the Siksika Nation and to support long-term succession planning within the Engineering Services. By fostering the next generation of Siksika Nation engineering professionals, SNES hopes to strengthen the local workforce and ensure sustainable development for the Siksika community.
