The Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) has an encouraging but cautious update regarding the Bow River.
According to the Alberta River Forecast Centre data, it is beginning to show a stabilization in water levels. If the peak has been reached, we can expect a slow, steady decline.
While our community infrastructure is completely safe and handling the volume well, the river remains very fast and the banks are highly unstable.
Please continue to practice caution by keeping a safe distance from the water’s edge and respecting all posted road closures while our teams monitor this final stretch.
