Oki, Siksika.
Due to the continued high flow conditions of the Bow River through the Nation, the acting Director of Emergency Management has activated the Nation’s Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) to monitor and manage rising water levels and high flow conditions on the Bow River.
Please be assured that this activation is a standard, proactive measure. It allows our Nation teams, emergency personnel, and regional partners to coordinate resources efficiently, monitor the river in real time, and ensure community readiness.
Key Information for Residents
- Stay Clear of Riverbanks: Water levels are high, and currents are fast and unpredictable. Please keep a safe distance from the riverbanks, pathways, and low-lying areas.
- Secure Outdoor Property: If you live adjacent to the river, ensure any loose outdoor items or equipment are secured.
- Follow Official Updates: Avoid relying on speculation. We will provide regular, factual updates as conditions evolve.
Our teams are working around the clock to ensure public safety. Thank you for your cooperation, vigilance, and calm approach as we manage these natural flow conditions together.
Next Update: June 03 at 12:00pm, or sooner if conditions change significantly.
