Environment Canada has issued a new Special Weather Statement for the Siksika Nation region. Significant rainfall is expected across parts of Alberta beginning Sunday, with total rainfall amounts of 50 to 90 mm likely. Localized amounts over 100 mm are possible. Rain will begin Saturday night into Sunday and become heavy at times. The rainfall will persist into the work week before easing Tuesday night into Wednesday.

Exercise enhanced caution when driving on roads and highways during times of excessive rain. Remember to turn on your headlights (daytime running lights are insufficient), and drive at reasonable speeds to avoid hydroplaning.
