Winter Storm Watch – Siksika 146

Hazardous weather is expected tonight and Tuesday morning. A cold front will bring heavy rain showers or flurries late tonight, as well as strong northwest winds gusting to 90 km/h.

This will be followed by temperatures quickly dropping below zero in some areas, likely causing any wet surfaces to freeze.

Brief periods of freezing rain or blowing snow are also possible in parts of central Alberta tonight. Icy surfaces may form quickly and be difficult to detect. High sided vehicles may be blown around by the wind.

In flurries, visibility may be quickly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Consider rescheduling travel and outdoor activities.
