Here we go again!

Heavy snow is expected Wednesday afternoon through Thursday for the Calgary region, with total amounts of 10 to 25 cm. Snow will begin Wednesday afternoon over the foothills and spread eastward through Wednesday evening. Precipitation could begin as rain for some regions before quickly changing to snow. Snowfall amounts will vary widely, with general amounts of 10 to 25 cm by Thursday night. However, locally heavier amounts of 30 cm or more are possible. Poor visibility due to blowing snow is also possible in some areas Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Snow will end Thursday evening.

Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times. Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Take frequent breaks and avoid strain when clearing snow.
