Oki Siksika,
On April 7, 2026, Richard Thomas Sparvier (Kahkinookitoopi) concluded his tenure as Tribal Manager of the Siksika Nation Tribal Administration (SNTA).
Sparvier began his role in the summer of 2020, officially starting his duties on August 14, 2020. Prior to this, he earned his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary in 2019.
During his time as Tribal Manager, Sparvier provided strong leadership that contributed to significant growth and progress within SNTA. His efforts included restructuring the organization and its entities, helping establishthe Engineering Services Department and supporting major initiatives such as the AAYM Water Treatment Plant expansion. He also played a key role in advancing numerous strategic objectives and projects that have strengthened the Nation’s governance and infrastructure.
Siksika Nation Chief & Council, Siksika Nation Tribal Administration, as well as the various Siksika related bodies extend their sincere gratitude to Sparvier for his dedication and service. As he moves forward into his next chapter, we wish him continued success and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.
