Rising River Advisory (Final Update) – June 4, 2026

Oki Siksika,

The Siksika Nation Emergency Coordination Centre (ECC) has officially stood down and demobilized as of 12:00 PM today, Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Emergency Management confirms that the Bow River conditions remain stable, roads are mostly passable, and the immediate threat of overland flooding has passed. Regular services have been transitioned back to the Nation service departments under standard, daily operations.

Safety Reminder for Residents
Although river levels are steadily dropping and moving in a positive direction, Siksika Nation Emergency Management reminds all residents to remain cautious. Soil along the riverbanks may still be unstable and muddy. Please continue to exercise caution and avoid recreational activities near the riverbanks and low-lying areas over the coming days.

We extend our sincere thanks to the community for your cooperation, vigilance, and support throughout this high-water event, and to our dedicated Nation service teams for their round-the-clock monitoring and response efforts.

Always Siksika strong!
