Siksika Public Works: Community Water Notice

Oki Siksika,

Siksika Nation Infrastructure and Public Works would like to inform Nation members about a new initiative to improve access to safe drinking water while helping us better focus our water delivery services on homes that truly require emergency support.

Over the coming months, Siksika Public Works will be installing potable water fill stations at four (4) locations throughout the Nation. These stations will allow residents to fill standard 18.9L (5-gallon) water jugs with treated potable drinking water directly supplied from the Siksika community water system.

The water supplied at these stations comes from our centralized water treatment system, which serves over 760 homes across Siksika Nation. Our water is treated at both the East Regional Water Treatment Plant and the Arthur Ayoungman (West) Water Treatment Plant and is monitored daily to ensure it meets Canadian Drinking Water Quality Standards.

Please see the notice for further information.

More information regarding fill station locations and opening dates will be shared soon.

Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.
