We want to inform you of an important update regarding how to request Indian Registration Numbers (IRNs) and Siksika Band Membership ID Letters.
To better protect your personal information and reduce the risk of fraud and identity theft, Siksika Nation can no longer provide registration details or membership information over the phone. This change ensures that your private data stays secure and is only shared through proper, verified channels.
📝 What’s the New Process?
If you require your Indian Registration Number or a Siksika Band Membership ID Letter, you will now need to:
- Complete a request form
- Pay a $10 processing fee
This form helps us verify your identity and ensures your information is handled with the highest level of care and confidentiality.
💡 Fee Waivers
We understand there are times when access to this information is urgent. For that reason, the $10 fee will be waived in the following situations:
- Emergencies, such as medical or dental appointments
- Requests made by authorized third parties, such as:
- Siksika Family & Children’s Services
- Siksika Addiction Services
- Other Siksika-related programs and departments
Please note: Even in these cases, the request form must still be completed by the third party.
