Oki Siksika Nation,
We are excited to announce the Siksika Nation Community Clean-Up 2025, a collaborative effort to restore and maintain the beauty and health of our lands. This initiative relies on the spirit of unity and pride that defines our community. Additional information to follow next week.
Event Dates and Times:
April 29: Clean-up for the West side of Siksika Nation from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
April 30: Clean-up for the East side of Siksika Nation from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Recommended Responsibilities for Nation Members:
Participate in Clean-Up Activities:
Join designated clean-up teams in your area. Together, we can make a powerful impact on our environment.
Proper Waste Disposal:
– SNPW will provide garbage bags to Siksika Nation Members who participate.
– Nation members are encouraged to bag garbage and place it on the roadside for Solid Waste members to pick up.
– For large items, please create an identified pile in front of your house for collection.
Large Item Pick-Ups:
– For before or after the Community Clean-Up, please call 403-734-4388 to create a work order.
– Provide the map/house number, location of the pile, and positive contact information when calling.
Community Spaces:
Help clean and maintain shared areas such as parks, roadsides, and waterway banks.
Educate and Empower:
Spread the word about the importance of waste management and encourage your family and neighbors to participate.
